Perfect Chocolate'y Summer Dessert
Super easy to boot.
Start off by making your brownies according to the directions on the box.
I made two versions this day so that will explain the picture switching from the brownie to the chocolate chip cookie :)
I also made a giant chocolate chip cookie, using an 8x8 pan. Here's the cookie already cooled and flipped onto a cutting board. Next use a loaf pan to measure where to cut your brownie.
Here's the brownie all cut up, and yes I cut off the edges. :)
And the chocolate chip cookie, again I cut off the edges, but this is just our preference.
Next, line your loaf pan with wrap, completely covering the pan.
After the pan is all wrapped up, drop one of the cookie pieces in. Next put in some vanilla ice cream, it really helps if you let the ice cream soften a tad, so you can spread it out on top of the cookie or brownie. After the ice cream is all spread out, put another brownie/ cookie on top. Finally spread out another layer of ice cream . . Fold over the wrap, making sure its nice and sealed. Use another pan to push down a tad. And place in the freezer, normally I leave in for at least two-three hours but this dessert is easy enough to make a day or two ahead of time. After a few hours slice off a piece, drizzle a little chocolate, a dollop of whip cream and ENJOY !!

Homework Station
If your anything like me you can find a pencil anytime except when its time for your little one to sit down and do homework .
So enter a piece of wood, I cut down to size, sprayed painted a light brown. Once again used my handy dandy Cricut to cut out the letters "For homework only", modge podge those on and let dry outside, which in the Tucson heat today. . didn't take long at all. I placed this cute little cans I got in the cans at Target on clearance for only .25 cents in May. After moving them around and making sure there was equal space on each side. And than re checking . .
I used the hubbys drill to secure the cans to the wood.
Added a few go-to homework supplies and
its already to go for homework time.
When I told Taelor when can only use these supplies he said "Thats a really good idea Mom!" - Love that kid ! One good thing about going back to school early: You get a head start on all the fun school and teacher projects !
Hope you'll are enjoying the rest of your summer vacations !

Cars Party
I wanted a banner but I didn't want to pay the $5+ for one from the party store so again I took a look online and found cute character snap shots, after printing them on card stock and cutting them out, I used the cricut to cut out the letters and simple tags and ta-da. . . A personalized Banner.
For the table I picked up a black table cloth from the .99 cent store and cut some strips of white duct tape and there you have it. . . although because of something I'll mention a little later in the post I opted to buy the Cars 2 table cloth for the food table and instead used this road tablecloth for the presents.
After a few balloons and streamers, it was onto the food . .
Here are signs I made for the food
The food table all set up
A .99 cent condiment set plus a little photo shop picture = Mater's Mustard and Ka Chow Ketchup !
Tubs from Wally World = fun drink containers . . They were easy peasy, all I did was used the cricut to cut out my letters and used packaging tape to tape them on (I used tape because it was easier to take off when we were done)
I saw this awesome idea on Pinterest about scoop and freezing the ice cream into cupcake liners before the party and it worked like a charm and saved tons of time and a mess !! This is now a must for all future parties . . plus on top of the ice cream I put Cars 2 marshmallows that I found down the baking aisle at Target.
The super yummy cake !!
Goodie Bags :The week before the party I SCORED at the party store, I went in looking for the table cloth and while walking by the clearance table I saw tons of Cars stuff all for .50 cents - stickers, pop up suckers, flying disc, whistles and the biggest deal a pack of 10 playing cards .50 cents for all, I love unexpected deals !!
I love personalized goodie bags so I whipped up these cute little pit passes to put in the goodie bags, I ended up using light blue bags so you could see these through the plastic perfectly !
After putting the Pit Passes in the front, I tucked these into the back.
Kasen opening a few presents.
Thank You to everyone who helped in celebrating my little man's birthday !! We love you all

It ended up cuter than I thought it would turn out when I first started and I can't wait to see the look on Kasen's face this Saturday.
