Fun Cactus Scene Craft
This one can definitely be finished before something
Supplies Needed:
First thing first draw cactus on your green paper.
Than have your little cowboys cut out their cactus. I forgot to take a picture of it but out of construction paper I cut a 'dirt scene' for the bottom of their blue paper.Than they went to work gluing their cactus.
Next came Elmers glue . . .
and than the rice :)
Kasen's Tucson Rodeo Scene
and Taelor's Tucson Rodeo Scene .
Fun Fact : Most people don't know in Tucson,
we don't get Presidents Day off of school, we get two days for Rodeo
Happy Crafting !

Spices and Herbs Subway Art
It all started with this piece of wood I got from Home Depot for $5.41
And unfortunately that's where the tutorial ended
However it was super easy, I just whipped out the Cricut and the Don Juan cartridge. . . side note: if its not obvious by now this is my absolute favorite cartridge, Love it ! . .and I went to this website to gather up all the spice and herb names I wanted to use. Than I proceeded to punch the names into the Cricut and cut them out, varying them in size as I went along.
The smallest I went was 1.5" and the biggest I had was 3"
I highly underestimated two things when it came to this project.
- How much vinyl I actually needed to complete this .
- How much time it would take to complete. . . Peeling the back off all those letters took f.o.r.e.v.e.r !
But in the end I loved it and thats
all the counts in Craft Land :)

Mom, where's the orange crayon ? ?
Here in the Simply Crafty house, I hear that a lot during homework time.
Like the other day when Taelor needed a green crayon to draw three trees and I swear he spent more time looking through the crayon tub for the right shade of green than drawing the trees.
How could I put all the crayons on display without it looking
It all started with one little tomato sauce can.
While I was making dinner one night, after I had rinsed out the can and went to throw it away . . ding . . . off went my crafty light bulb.
After using and cleaning seven more cans, I painted each one with acrylic paint and clear coated them . . . I painted the can
red - orange - yellow - green - blue - purple - pink - white
Than I screwed them to a 11" by 6.5" piece of wood . . . simple enough :)
Than I organized the crayons into the coordinating cans :)
And I used the white can for the white - brown and blacks. Oh and I added little felt feet to the bottom so it
slides across our table smoothly :)

Valentines Day Dinner
And for my little man who doesn't like pizza . . Yes, I know what little boy in their right mind doesn't like pizza ? ? Please tell me I'm not the only one with a little goofball. . . Any who for the little guy I cut out hearts from a Tortilla and made him cheese quesadillas.
And no Valentine dinner would be complete without a heart shaped brownie.
